The Colorado Division of Gaming has opened applications for its Responsible Gaming Grants, which are intended for nonprofits looking to promote responsible gambling and other gaming projects.
A press release gave examples of positive effects, including addiction treatment, hotline operations, education programs, counseling, research, advocacy and support services.
“We are excited to accept applications and look forward to supporting innovative projects that promote responsible gaming in Colorado,” Christopher Schroder, Director of the Colorado Division of Gaming, said in a press release. “This responsible gaming grant program shows Colorado’s continued dedication to responsible gaming, while maintaining integrity for Colorado Gaming.”
The Division of Gaming will allow companies to make applications until December 1 and will then give recommendations to the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission on February 25.
Colorado gambling has been performing well recently. The sports betting industry saw an increase in betting handle year-over-year in September. Meanwhile, casino revenues remained steady year-over-year in the same month.
