"Friends of Technology" has arrived at the María Auxiliadora school in the capital of Neuquén.
Argentina.- With the goal of training in healthy and responsible gaming, differentiating it from Pathological Gambling, providing tools to discern between use and abuse of ICTs, and highlighting the multiple resources that children have in their daily lives, the Provincial Institute of Gambling of Neuquén (IJAN) carries forward its program "Friends of Technology".
The regulatory body of gambling in Neuquén brought this initiative to the María Auxiliadora school in the capital of Neuquén. The workshop targeted teachers, parents, and students in the fourth and fifth year of high school, to facilitate the understanding and adoption of these concepts by adolescents, assess the potential negative consequences of excessive use of ICTs, and promote practices of social responsibility.

It is worth noting that during 2024, the program has been in different institutions, such as the Technological Institute of Comahue and the Teacher Training Institute No. 6.
Representing the IJAN were the Responsible Gaming and Social Responsibility representatives, Diana Fusco and Wanda Leitner. From the María Auxiliadora school, its director Guy San Pedro Sedan participated.
The Provincial Institute of Gambling of Neuquén (IJAN) signed on Monday, November 4, a collaboration agreement with the College of Psychologists of Neuquén to articulate the work of training, information, and research with a focus on gambling disorders.
The head of the provincial body, Raúl Béttiga and the president of the medical college, Lic. Sabrina Contreras signed the agreement at the IJAN headquarters in the capital. Also participating in the meeting was the Responsible Gaming and Social Responsibility representative, Lic. Diana Fusco.
The two organizations will collaborate reciprocally with the aim of "analyzing, planning, coordinating, and executing joint actions, in order to promote and develop mental health and well-being programs for the population of Neuquén."
