Following an investigation, Bruno Henrique is suspected of match manipulation.
Brazil.- Bruno Henrique, a soccer player for Flamengo, was raided early Tuesday morning by the Federal Police by order of the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro. The reason? He is suspected of having been cautioned in a match to favor a group of bettors.
This occurred in November 2023, when his team faced Santos in the Brasileirao championship. With the score against them, the player argued with the referee until he received a yellow card in stoppage time.
The case began after three sports betting operators noticed that, following the yellow card, bets predicting he would receive a card towards the end of the match increased exponentially.

At the time of the raid, the player was inside his home where a computer and a mobile phone were seized. Additionally, part of his family is also under investigation as there are records of them investing and winning money on the same bet.
Following the events, the club made a statement via X (formerly Twitter) and for now, he will remain on the team. "He enjoys our trust and, like anyone, is presumed innocent," they indicated.
