The Government of Paraná, through Lottopar, is promoting the "Responsible Gaming" campaign this November, aiming to strengthen this practice among bettors. The educational actions, broadcast on radio, digital media, and also on bus screens and terminals, emphasize that betting is for entertainment, and not a way to invest or a source of income.
The main message of the campaign is that those who gamble should do so for fun, knowing their financial limits and when to stop, without compromising their income. With the message "Those who know how to play don't get lost", the action highlights the importance of setting limits on how much time and money to spend on betting and to view it as a game, where one can win, but also lose.
“We are launching another educational action on responsible gaming. With the slogan 'Those who know how to play don't get lost - Play for fun and within your financial limits', we seek to raise awareness that gaming is entertainment and fun and should never be seen as a way to recover financial losses or to get rich”, states Lottopar president, Daniel Romanowski.
The Lotteries of Paraná conducted in October the Responsible Gaming Week, with discussions and debates for awareness and education in the sports betting environment. The meeting brought together various experts from the sector, mainly focusing on regulation, which brought rules to a market that previously operated without regulations, aiming to promote actions that foster a safe and responsible gaming environment with protection for the bettor.
Rules were also established by Lottopar regarding the guarantee that the advertising of lottery operators in the State respects the good practices of responsible gaming. Among the measures are the restriction of access to minors under 18 years old to sports betting platforms and other lottery operations, and also, norms about the use of celebrities in promotional actions.

Last year, Lottopar launched a video about Responsible Gaming and Safe Gaming, which can be accessed here. It presents actions that must be followed by lottery operators authorized to operate in Paraná to promote Safe and Responsible Gaming, as well as the actions of the Lotteries of Paraná to ensure compliance with these norms.
