The authorities closed down a gaming room with more than 20 slot machines that did not have the necessary permits.
Chile.- The OS-14 unit of the Carabineros from the Second Station of San Felipe, along with inspectors from the Public Security Directorate of the municipality, conducted an operation in Toma Yevide, where a clandestine casino was operating. Additionally, alcoholic beverages were being sold at the location without the proper authorizations.
During a raid at the site, the corresponding infractions were issued for illicit sales and for the use of more than 20 slot machines that lacked the permission and documentation from the Superintendence of Casino Games. The authorities closed the premises and seized all the products for alcohol sales.
According to the local media El Trabajo, Felipe Olivares, director of Public and Citizen Security, stated that "this is the continuation of a task that started quite some time ago, a coordination between the municipality, Carabineros, and the Provincial Presidential Delegation, regarding the inspection of all illegal casinos found in the commune."
He also mentioned that "all the casinos that are within the urban limits of the commune are controlled, they are all closed, and we extended this task towards Toma Yevide, noting that the first casino found in full operation was inspected, where, in addition, a clandestine sale of alcohols was configured."
Olivares indicated that the venue had around 24 machines and "clearly none with the expertise of the Superintendence of Casino Games."
