At the latest public hearing of the House of Representatives' Quad-Committee in the Philippines, Rose Nono Lin testified, revealing the close ties between Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. and illegal offshore gambling operators (POGO), shocking the audience.
Rose Nono Lin is the wife of Allan Lim, who previously attracted attention for his involvement in the overpriced procurement of medical supplies during the Duterte administration. At the hearing, Lin acknowledged that Allan Lim is her husband but stated she was not familiar with his other names in the Chinese-speaking community.
She also denied that her husband was hiding in Dubai, revealing that they met on November 1st in an island nation where Allan Lim was dealing with local business affairs, while she stayed in the Philippines to handle family business.
During the hearing, the committee chairman, Robert Ace Barbers, presented a photo of Allan Lim, which Rose Nono Lin confirmed, but she firmly denied her husband's involvement in drug trafficking.
In her testimony, Lin disclosed that she and her husband control several companies, including Paili Holdings, Xionwei Technology (parent company of POGO), and Full Win Group. She also pointed out that some of the holding companies are nominally owned by her niece, who helps manage the company finances.
Further evidence showed that Michael Yang, the former economic advisor to President Duterte, was also involved in these businesses, adding complexity to the case.
At the hearing, Congressman Dan Fernandez displayed communication records between Rose Nono Lin and employees Ted Lazaro and Alvin Constantino.
The records showed that Lin instructed Constantino to quickly evacuate equipment from a location in Bangbang Yapulak following a law enforcement raid, in compliance with President Marcos' instructions.
The head of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Moro Lazo, confirmed at the hearing that Allan Lim and Rose Nono Lin's husband are the same person and that he has used multiple aliases.
Lazo also revealed that Allan Lim was arrested in 2004 for his involvement in the Daya Tai drug lab case and was recognized by multiple informants under aliases such as "Ayong" and "Wen Li Chen." These details had been consistently confirmed by witnesses in previous committee hearings.
This incident has exposed the complex relationship behind Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. and the parent company of POGO, drawing significant attention from all sectors of society and providing new clues for further investigation.
