There was a new sports betting handle record set in Kansas, US, in October.
Total wagers across online and retail in the Sunflower State reached US$275.9m, beating the previous best of $260.9m set in November 2023.
Year-on-year, wagers were up 10.5 per cent in October from $249.7m in October 2023 – and they rose 10.9 per cent month-on-month from September’s $248.9m.
However, sports betting revenue across all verticals in Kansas fell 65.3 per cent year-on-year in October to $4.99m, down from $14.4m a year ago.
Revenues were also down month-on-month by 72.8 per cent from $18.3m in September.
