Yesterday, a Chinese man fell from a room in a casino in Sihanoukville and died on the spot.
After the incident, the Sihanoukville police arrived at the scene to investigate and confirmed the identity of the deceased as Zhang Qiming, a 23-year-old man from Hubei, China.
The police stated that Zhang Qiming jumped from room 1321 of the casino where the incident occurred, then fell to the 5th floor platform area, resulting in his immediate death.
The Sihanoukville police said that after an autopsy and investigation of mobile phone surveillance footage by technical and forensic departments, it was preliminarily judged that the deceased died from a high fall (suicide).
Currently, the body of the deceased has been stored in the morgue of Sihanouk Province Hospital, waiting to be handed over to his family for further arrangements.
According to informants, Zhang Qiming was deceived into going abroad, initially being told he was going to work in Serbia, but ended up in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Zhang Qiming arrived in Cambodia on October 20th. Less than a month later, he was gone. Although the police say it was suicide, it is suspected that there might be more to the story.
