Flutter Entertainment is streamlining its organisational structure by creating an enlarged International division.
The operator giant’s new arm will continue to be led by CEO Dan Taylor but will consist of five regions: UK and Ireland, Asia-Pacific, Southern Europe & Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and Brazil.
As part of the move, PokerStars CEO Kevin Harrington will take over as the chief executive of Flutter’s UK and Ireland region from January 2025, reporting to Taylor.
Flutter’s current UKI CEO, Ian Brown, will leave the company.
Harrington, who joined Betfair in 2012 and has been involved with PokerStars since 2020, said: “I want to continue the work that has made Flutter the clear market leader across the UK and Ireland and maintain the high standards we have set – with responsible gambling at the core of all our work.”
Brown hailed the “tremendously exiting” transformation of Flutter’s UKI division in recent years, adding his confidence that Harrington “will build on the strong momentum to take Flutter UKI to new heights.”
Flutter CEO Peter Jackson said: “Ian’s time at Flutter has been enormously successful. He has transformed the UK & Ireland business on almost every metric and he will be a hard act to follow.
“Kevin’s promotion is very well-deserved and the business will be in safe hands as we embark on the next phase of our growth plan.”
