There are now 16 web platforms that have been authorized by Coljuegos to operate in the territory.
Colombia.- The company Kaizen Gaming Colombia, owner of the brand Betano.co, was authorized by Coljuegos to operate internet betting in the national territory. With this new operator, there are now 16 web platforms that have the endorsement of the entity to market online games of chance.
Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos, said: "We continue to strengthen the industry of games operated by internet. We hope that, with the entry of this new operator, we can continue to increase the transfers for the health of Colombians. At this moment, the platform is already operating for the betting public."
The entity also reported that it is in the process of authorizing an additional operator called Bingo Casino, which is expected to start offering bets in the coming weeks.

On the other hand, from the Colombian gaming regulatory body, it was important to highlight that for the year 2024, it is estimated that online betting portals will pay about COP419.527m (USD96.6m) to Coljuegos for exploitation rights, which represents an increase of 31 percent compared to the same period in 2023. All these resources are transferred to the health system.
"We are seeing that online betting is a sector of the economy that has driven the growth of the country's Gross Domestic Product. Therefore, we are working to make the market even more attractive and to provide more options to bettors," Hincapié stated.
According to financial projections, it is estimated that, over the next five years, this new operator will pay Coljuegos around COP21.513m (USD4.8m) for exploitation rights and administrative expenses, resources that can be transferred to subsidize health and scientific research.
