Press release.- Supporting safer gambling in Malta is the goal of a new partnership between EveryMatrix, BetBlocker, and Responsible Gaming Foundation. This collaboration will allow BetBlocker to expand its services to include a Maltese version of its blocking software.
This project is launched as part of the «European Safer Gambling Week 2024». The initiative seeks to provide an additional tool to help Maltese players manage their access to gambling and to raise the profile of the free and anonymous service that BetBlocker offers within one of the main international centers for the electronic gaming industry.
Duncan Garvie, founder and trustee of BetBlocker, said: “One of the biggest challenges for BetBlocker is ensuring that a technologically complex application is as simple as possible to set up for users. Currently, BetBlocker can take a user from download to blocking in less than two minutes. But that is only the case when the user finds it easy to follow the setup instructions.”
Furthermore, Garvie added: “When a user can access BetBlocker in the language they are most confident in, the chances of them converting to an active block are much greater. We are very grateful to EveryMatrix and RGF for their partnership in this project. It significantly enhances the options for Maltese players and will contribute greatly to raising awareness about the support BetBlocker offers among MGA licensees.”
He also said: “We hope that in the future, the MGA will advance in its player protection standards by including the requirement for licensees to indicate the blocking software to ensure players are aware of this option.”
