Several violent incidents have recently occurred in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and other regions, causing citizens to question the area's public safety and making both locals and foreigners fear for their lives.

At noon on Monday, a woman was found lying in a grassy area in Las Piñas City, having been stabbed 25 times, bleeding profusely.

According to reports, the victim was declared dead after being taken to the hospital. Witnesses stated that a security guard heard the woman's cries for help and quickly called the police, but the suspect still managed to escape.

Through investigation, the police found a "goodbye" message in the victim's phone, which led to the identification of the suspect, who was later confirmed to be the victim's husband. The suspect refused to make any statements during the investigation after being identified by the security guard at the police station.

The next morning, another fatal stabbing occurred in Manila's Tondo district. Zhaoping Zhang, a 46-year-old Chinese national, was found dead in his car.

The police revealed that Zhang was fatally stabbed multiple times following a heated argument with another Chinese national, Liu Chow Qin. Despite Zhang's attempts to drive away after being injured, he died in his car due to excessive blood loss. Witnesses stated that Liu fled the scene with the weapon after stabbing Zhang.

The police have launched a manhunt for the suspect. Previous text: Another case of a Chinese compatriot being murdered! Why does Tondo, Manila, frequently witness such incidents?

The two consecutive violent incidents highlight the increasingly severe public safety issues in various regions of the Philippines, including the capital. Whether due to domestic violence or disputes leading to fatal conflicts, the frequent occurrence of violent incidents is alarming.

The tendency towards violence in society has become a significant issue, especially in terms of law enforcement and judicial fairness. The existing punitive mechanisms are clearly insufficient and full of loopholes. This not only poses a great challenge to the safety of the Filipino people but also makes foreigners working and living in the Philippines feel insecure.

In the current severe security situation, it is particularly important to protect oneself. Experts suggest that in the face of potential dangers and violent conflicts, one should have a certain level of self-protection awareness and ability.

Moreover, maintaining contact with family and friends, keeping them informed of one's whereabouts, and being aware of changes in the surrounding environment are effective ways to reduce the occurrence of violent incidents.

In case of emergencies, it is advisable to seek help from law enforcement agencies or use emergency tools to contact professionals. Both local residents and foreigners in the Philippines should always remain vigilant and protect their own safety.
