According to local media in the UAE, three more companies have obtained gambling-related supplier licenses in the UAE.
As of now, the UAE Commercial Gambling Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) has issued such licenses to five companies.
Aristocrat is the first international slot machine and online technology company to receive a supplier license, allowing it to provide electronic gaming machines (EGM), online games, and technology solutions to licensed commercial gambling operators in the UAE.
Aristocrat's website shows that its products include physical casino games, hardware and software systems, and online games.
Smartplay International has also received a supplier license, enabling it to provide lottery and gambling equipment to gambling companies. This company primarily manufactures and sells various lottery drawing devices and machines, and also offers gambling-related services.
The company's Vice President of Sales, Darrell Smith, stated that they see great opportunities in the UAE and look forward to working with GCGRA-approved gambling operators.
Currently, Smartplay collaborates with lottery and gambling operators in 127 countries.
The UAE financial technology platform PayBy Technology Projects can now provide financial services to GCGRA-approved commercial gambling operators, such as digital wallets, secure payment systems, and fraud detection systems.
It is noteworthy that the GCGRA only issues five types of gambling licenses: lottery, land-based gambling facilities, gambling-related suppliers, internet gambling, and sports betting.
In July, GCGRA granted the first lottery operating license to The Game LLC in Abu Dhabi.
In October, Wynn Resorts received a land-based gambling facility license, allowing it to operate in the casino at Ras Al-Khaimah. This license is valid for 15 years and can be renewed upon expiration.
As of November 20, the authorities have not yet issued internet gambling and sports betting licenses.
