According to journalists on social media, one of the players might have received money from his teammates to place bets. These rumors continue to grow, especially after Oldrá expressed his distrust and made the decision to resign.
Meanwhile, in an interview on the radio program "Dos de Punta", Oldrá assured that, although he always trusted in the innocence of his players, he found the circulating rumors disturbing: "I can't believe in those things, a lot of things are said and that bothers me". He added: "The most beautiful thing about football are the players, but I know there is everything. If I don't believe in my players, I can't continue in football". Yesterday, amid the crisis, Oldrá resigned from the technical direction and will take on his role as coordinator of the club.
For his part, José Mansur, vice president of Godoy Cruz, spoke with radio Nihuil and said: "Actually, these are versions that arise from the networks, which seems outrageous to question the honorability of the players for nothing".
"I believe that the nobility of the people of Godoy Cruz has always been present, there is no doubt, and if today any mistake or any sports level that a player may have is going to link them to all these issues seems madness, because otherwise, we are going to make everything perfect in this sport, which is going to be impossible", continued the leader of the Tomba, denying the rumors.
