The police in the Chamkar Mon district of Phnom Penh successfully raided a small illegal gambling den hidden within an apartment building, arresting 9 individuals involved.
It is understood that among the arrested were 3 Chinese men, 2 Cambodian men, and 4 Cambodian women. The police seized a fishing game machine, several gambling devices, and other related evidence at the scene.
This operation was initiated following reports from local residents and the media, exposing the illegal gambling activities at the location. All individuals involved have been transferred to the police station for interrogation and further investigation.
The police stated that they will continue to intensify efforts to crack down on illegal gambling activities to maintain social order and public safety.
