The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) has an official sportsbook partner.
FanDuel on Friday announced a new partnership with the PWHL, becoming an Official Sportsbook Partner and exclusive In-app Streaming Partner in the U.S.
FanDuel will stream up to 90 regular-season PWHL games and playoffs live on its app.
The PWHL has six teams in the U.S. and Canada: Boston Fleet, Minnesota Frost, Montreal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charge, Toronto Sceptres. The inaugural PWHL season wrapped up May 5. The new season kicked off on Saturday with the Sceptres hosting the Fleet and the Victoire hosting the Charge.
Since beginning of the league last January, the PWHL has announced deals with Airsupra, Canadian Tire, Intact Assurance, Scotiabank, Shark, Ninja, and Woody Creek Distillers as founding partners, Air Canada, Bread Financial, Royale as inaugural premier partners, and a long list of companies as official partners: Aeroplan, Barbie, Bauer, CCM, Esso, EA Sports, Gatorade, Hyundai, Molson, Goodlife, Pizza Pizza, Rogers, Tm Hortons, and now FanDuel, among others.
“This partnership is about creating a new era of fan engagement, one that brings hockey closer to fans, while helping grow the visibility of women’s professional sports,” said Dale Hooper, General Manager of FanDuel, in a statement.
The company also said that FanDuel will be an integral part of PWHL games.
A quick scan of the FanDuel app shows lines for Saturday’s and Sunday’s games, Walter Cup (league championship) futures, PWHL awards futures, odds on what team will make the playoffs, even odds on what city will have a PWHL expansion team in 2025-26 (Detroit with the shortest odds at -115, followed by Pittsburgh,at +105, and Chicago at +200), and which PWHL home opener will have the highest attendance.
PWHL pickup in other sportsbooks varies. BetMGM and OLG’s Proline had lines for Saturday, theScore Bet is offering Walter Cup futures, and no markets were offered on NorthStar Bets and DraftKings.
