The alleged violation of law 4716/12 will be investigated
Paraguay.- The Comprehensive Child Protection Care System discovered near the Minor Basilica, in the Paraguayan municipality of Caacupé, that indigenous minors were playing on slot machines in a venue that does not have the appropriate authorization.
The Childhood and Adolescence prosecutor, Vilma González, accompanied the procedure last Friday, November 29, along with a municipal judge of Misdemeanors. The confiscation of the slot machines was carried out, which were taken to the depot of the Municipality of Caacupé. The municipality, for its part, must apply the provisions of Law 6903/2022, on Gambling.
Following the intervention near the basilica, an investigation will be opened into the alleged clandestine exploitation of gambling, whose on-duty prosecutor in Caacupé, Gedeón Escobar, will investigate the alleged violation of law 4716/12 (clandestine or irregular exploitation of gambling).
