After a record-breaking September, the Rhode Island Lottery has reported that online casino players wagered more than $75.1 million on online slots and table games during October, marking the second-highest figure to date, after $80.8 million in September. Igaming revenue reached an all-time monthly high in October at $3.2 million, up 2.6 percent from the previous record set in September.
No year-over-year figures are available for comparison, as online casino gaming launched in Rhode Island through Bally’s in March.
The state’s two land-based casinos, Bally’s Twin River and Bally’s Tiverton, reported mixed October results. VLTs generated $41.4 million in revenue, of which Twin River Casino accounted for $31.5 million or around 76 percent. The VLT revenue total marks a 3.6 percent increase compared to $39.9 million in September but a 2 percent drop from the $42.2 million generated last October.
Table game revenue was $9.9 million, marking a 12.2 percent decrease from $11.2 million in September. Year-over-year, table game revenue also fell by 3.2 percent. The total includes $7.8 million from Twin River and $2.1 million from Tiverton.
