A few days ago, information about the ALO monitoring list was leaked online. Initially, it was just a document reminding that 8,427 foreign POGO workers had been included in the ALO list, and if they do not leave the country on time, they will be confirmed and blacklisted in the BLO list.
However, before the public could digest the news about the ALO and BLO lists, today another explosive piece of news broke out. There was a major leak in the Immigration Bureau's ALO monitoring list. This document, which was supposed to be for internal use only, was recklessly spread online, covering complete personal information of the employees, including names, genders, dates of birth, passport numbers, and nationalities, involving workers from China, Vietnam, India, and other countries, clearly marked!
After further screening and verification, it was newly discovered that the Philippine Immigration Bureau's ALO monitoring list involved a total of 1,062 personal information leaks of Chinese POGO workers.
These employees hold POGO 9G visas and have not yet left the country. The leaked personal information includes names, genders, dates of birth, passport numbers, and other detailed data.
This leakage incident could have serious consequences for these Chinese workers.
Since the list clearly marks visa information and departure status, the relevant personnel not only have to face surveillance and subsequent investigation actions by the Philippine government but may also be subject to investigations and other threats from their home country.
Currently, the relevant departments have not made any public response. The concern for the safety and privacy protection of the involved employees continues to rise. This leakage incident will undoubtedly have a profound impact on the POGO industry in the Philippines and the management system for foreign workers.
