Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Kheng held a nationwide teleconference with police chiefs at the Ministry of Interior, where it was clearly stated that by December 10th, all forms of online and offline gambling advertisements must be completely banned within Cambodia.
Sar Kheng emphasized that starting from December 11th, if anyone is found promoting or publishing online gambling advertisements, or posting and establishing offline gambling advertisement flyers and signs, local police must immediately take action.
Sar Kheng demanded that for online gambling advertisements, all possible technical means should be used to trace the source and strike precisely; for offline advertisement flyers and signs, the responsible persons should be identified and decisively arrested.
Song Po, the leader of the National Task Force on Illegal Gambling, along with relevant secretaries of state, deputy secretaries of state, the Director-General of the National Police, Su Tong, and heads of subordinate departments were present at the meeting, while police chiefs from all provinces and cities participated via video.
