The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Sands China have confirmed a multi-year collaboration to bring the NBA China Games to Macau, with the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns set to play two preseason games in October 2025.

The games will take place from October 10 to 12 at the Venetian Arena, featuring well-known players such as Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Ben Simmons.

This event aims to expand the NBA's global influence and interact with basketball fans in the region.

In addition to the games, the NBA and Sands will also host fan interaction events, community outreach programs, and lifestyle activities. Highlights include an NBA Fan Day, featuring celebrity performances and on-court skills contests.

Moreover, a new NBA flagship store will open at The Londoner Macao, offering a range of official NBA merchandise.

This announcement was made at an event held at The Londoner Macao Arena, attended by NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum, executives from Sands China, and NBA legends such as Ray Allen and Tracy McGrady.

The 2025 NBA China Games will be broadcast live to fans in over 200 countries and regions through television, digital, and social media platforms.

Regarding this development, NBA Deputy Commissioner and COO Mark Tatum stated, "Bringing the preseason games to Macau will showcase the excitement of the NBA to fans in this emerging global sports hub."

It is worth noting that the event's marketing partners include Ant International, Ctrip, Mengniu, Nike, and Tissot.

"Both the Nets and the Suns are composed of well-known stars and newcomers, and we look forward to engaging fans, aspiring players, and the local community in Macau through these games and various interactive activities, youth development programs, and social impact initiatives," said Brooklyn Nets General Manager Sean Marks.

"We have always loved the opportunity to compete on the global stage, and we are grateful to participate in the 2025 NBA China Games," added Marks. "The Brooklyn Nets have an incredible fan base worldwide, and we can't wait to bring our passion for the game directly to our fans, while also giving our players and coaches the chance to immerse themselves in different cultures."
