Experts from the state agency trained workers on the new features of the self-exclusion system and the self-excluded database.
Chile.- With the goal of promoting a culture of entertainment and care for people around gambling, the Superintendence of Casino Games (SCJ) trained the staff of Dreams within the framework of the National Strategy for Responsible Gaming led by the agency.
The training was given to the staff of Monticello who work directly with clients, gaming counselors, operational treasury, security, marketing, and gaming room.
In this context, the agency announced some upcoming changes in terms of self-exclusion, which will no longer be limited to Chilean citizens with an identity card but will also extend to foreigners, in addition to the establishment of an online process with self-exclusion process forms where information is shared and updated for equal access to information for the Superintendence, the operating companies, and the citizens.
“As a bonus, we also wanted to advance some features of the future data law, which is something very important to know regarding the handling of sensitive data," indicated Rocío Yáñez, Responsible Gaming Analyst at the Superintendence of Casino Games.
For her part, the Responsible Gaming Manager of Dreams, Mariela Huenchumilla, highlighted the importance of the presence of the Superintendence of Casino Games in this training cycle - which this year has already included more than 200 collaborators in Temuco and Monticello - and that Dreams has been developing for over 15 years, positioning it as a leader in Responsible Gaming in Latin America.
“We are very happy and proud that the sectoral authority has made available to our Responsible Gaming counselors and workers linked to the self-exclusion processes the latest updates of the regulations that govern us in this matter. Additionally, we are already working on our 2025 agenda, which includes various trainings in which we hope to have the presence of SCJ again,” said the Responsible Gaming Manager of Dreams.
