Iowa casino revenue up 2.9 year-over-year in November

Iowa casino revenue in November was $140.3 million, up nearly 2.9 percent year-over-year and almost 5.4 percent month-over-month, the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission has reported.

Despite admissions increasing on previous figures to 1,380,107, wins per capita still hit $102, the same as November 2023 and higher than October 2024.

Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino was the top revenue generator, collecting $19.6 million. It also had the highest admissions at 167,831. The casino with the highest win per capita was Lakeside Casino, which hit $137 from revenues of just more than $3.8 million.

Iowa sportsbooks handled $315.2 million in November, generating nearly $30.1 million in revenues, a more than 6.8 percent increase in handle month-over-month and an 8.8 percent jump year-oveer-year. Meanwhile, revenues recovered from the October sports betting slump, increasing from $18.4 million for a growth of 63 percent. Year-over-year revenues shot up by 113.4 percent.
