Hanoi city police have just successfully cracked the largest online fraud case in history, freezing assets and exhibits worth over 5.2 trillion Vietnamese dong (approximately over 200 million US dollars).
The famous TikToker Mr. Pips (real name Pho Duc Nam) has been indicted.
Pho Duc Nam is identified to be associated with a Turkish entity and has implemented actions to lure numerous victims into investing in international finance and securities... The total number of victims is estimated to be over 2600.
The authorities have frozen many assets of the entity, estimated to be over 5.2 trillion Vietnamese dong, including accounts worth 3160 billion Vietnamese dong, bonds worth 90 billion Vietnamese dong, savings books worth over 2000 billion Vietnamese dong; 690 billion Vietnamese dong in cash, 2.3 million US dollars; 890 SJC gold bars; 246 kilograms of pure gold; 31 supercars, 7 luxury expensive motorcycles; 59 luxury watches, valued at about 300 billion Vietnamese dong; 84 pieces of gold and diamond jewelry...
