The singer, involved in an investigation against a money laundering network through gambling, speaks about the case against him and reiterates his innocence.
Brazil.- The president of the Parliamentary Commission of Investigation (CPI) of Manipulation of Results and Sports Betting of the Senate, Jorge Kajuru recorded an interview with Gusttavo Lima for his program “PODK Liberados”, on RedeTV!.
Recently, the Public Ministry of Pernambuco (MPPE) requested the partial archiving of the investigation of the 12th Criminal Court of Recife about the popular singer, but judge Andréa Calado da Cruz denied the request. At the same time, another investigative commission of the Senate, the Parliamentary Commission of Investigation of Betting, approved the summons of Gusttavo Lima and asked Coaf to prepare financial intelligence reports about the artist and his companies.
According to Kajuru, the singer answered questions about suspicions related to betting houses, commented on the polarization between Lula and Jair Bolsonaro and even gave a preview of an unreleased song in honor of his mother, Sebastiana Maria de Lima, who died in 2015, at the age of 66.
Senator Leila Barros accompanied Kajuru in the interview, which will be broadcast next Sunday night.
In the previews of the interview that have been released so far, no testimony from the singer about the judicial investigations involving him has been included. On the contrary, clips of him discussing other topics have been shown, although according to Kajuru, there is an extensive block of the conversation dedicated to this theme in which Lima elaborates on the judicial investigations involving him.

The investigation against Lima and other famous Brazilians began several months ago. The singer is attributed his alleged participation in a money laundering network related to sports betting and online casinos.
According to the authorities, Lima would have facilitated the transportation of suspects involved in the money laundering network to Europe, where five of them did not return to Brazil, remaining as fugitives.
The case not only affects Lima but also reached the Brazilian influencer Deolane Bezerra, who was imprisoned twice for her connection with the same plot related to online casinos.
