Phnom Penh police raided an illegal gambling den at the intersection of 298 and 189 streets in BKK district, arresting four suspects.
Reports indicate that concerned citizens reported various illegal gambling activities in the area, including betting on football, online cockfighting, and dice games, attracting many gamblers and affecting the lives of local residents.
That day, the district governor of BKK, Su Sunban, personally led the team to raid the area, seizing four computers and arresting two gamblers and two staff members on the spot.
All individuals have been taken to the BKK police station, awaiting legal proceedings.
It is worth mentioning that on December 4th, a building in BKK district was also reported for suspected online gambling, but after inspection, the police did not find any online gambling equipment in the building, thus the report was unfounded.
