The call was made known after the previous tender to renew the license in Coyhaique (Aysén Region) failed.
Chile.- Through Exempt Resolution No. 929 of December 4, 2024, the Superintendence of Casino Games (SCJ) initiated a new process for granting a casino gaming operation permit in the Aysén Region, considering the slot that will become available due to the expiration of the permit authorized to Casino de Juegos Coyhaique S.A. (Dreams), in April 2027.
It is worth remembering that in October, the SCJ reported that it terminated the evaluation of the technical offers presented by Inversiones y Turismo Chiloé S.A. (Dreams) and Rantrur S.A. (Enjoy), applicant and renewer, respectively, for an operation permit in the commune of Castro; as well as the evaluation of the proposal from Casino de Juegos Coyhaique S.A., in the commune of Coyhaique (Aysén Region).
The process of granting operation permits ended without the assignment of scores and without the stage of opening economic offers. According to the SCJ, this was because these proposals did not meet some of the obligations established in Law No. 19.995.
Regarding the new call, the SCJ reported that the technical bases, and the Casino Game Operation Permits Application System (SOPO) and its user manual, can be downloaded through its website.

In this way, the project preparation phase begins, for which those interested in applying for an operation permit have a period of 90 business days until the submission of these at the Technical and Economic Offers Presentation hearing, which is scheduled for Monday, April 21, 2025, at 10:00h, at the premises of the Superintendence, located at Morandé N°360, floor 4, Santiago.
Also, within a period of ten business days, that is until Thursday, December 26, 2024, the period for inquiries and requests for clarifications to the technical bases will take place, which can be made through the SCJ's email. Meanwhile, the Superintendence has a period of 15 days to respond to them.
This week it was also known that the Superintendence of Casino Games (SCJ) initiated a new process for granting a casino gaming operation permit at the national level, due to the slot that will become available as a result of the expiration of the permit authorized to Rantrur S.A. (Enjoy), in May 2027.
