Both entities carried out an event to advance the development of human resources that are part of the industry.
Colombia.- In a virtual discussion titled Impact of labor competencies in the gaming and chance sector, the Sectoral Marketing Board of the National Learning Service (SENA), in partnership with Asojuegos, brought together companies and associates of the guild to highlight the importance of the Sectoral Standards of Labor Competence and promote certification programs aimed at the development of human talent in this industry.
Asojuegos, a non-profit association that represents the 37 authorized concessionaires in Colombia, highlighted its commitment to responsible, legal, and transparent gaming. This work not only generates 300,000 direct and indirect jobs but also promotes business and community development, strengthens risk management, and contributes significant resources to the country's health system.
Between 2020 and 2024, the partnership between both entities has resulted in the development of four Sectoral Standards of Labor Competence certified, with which 6,037 people from 25 companies in the guild have obtained their certification in key skills such as management and customer service, coordination of sales forces, and commercialization. This collaboration reaffirms the commitment of SENA and Asojuegos to the professionalization of the sector and the strengthening of human capital in Colombia.
During the event, Juan Carlos Restrepo Escobar, president of Asojuegos, highlighted: "I celebrate that SENA has the adaptability that industries need to provide their collaborators with these types of solutions in terms of qualification, which contribute to productivity and regulate the labor and personal environment of Colombians."
