Last week, a police raid was conducted in a park in Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province near the Cambodia-Vietnam border. According to Vietnamese media, a total of 409 Vietnamese were arrested and have now been deported back to their country.
Vietnamese media reported that the Cambodian police handed over these more than 400 Vietnamese to the Vietnamese police. The police in Tây Ninh Province, in cooperation with the border guards and local government, verified the information of these Vietnamese and deported them back to their places of origin.
According to the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, most of these Vietnamese had entered Cambodia illegally and were later exploited and oppressed, hence they sought help from the Cambodian authorities.
Vietnamese media reported that last week, the General Department of National Police of Cambodia conducted a raid in the Kim Tinh park in Bavet, capturing over 400 Vietnamese.
According to earlier reports, on December 4, the police surrounded Building D in the Kim Tinh park. A large number of "network technicians" were found at the scene. Facing the sudden police raid, they stopped working, held their heads in cooperation, and underwent investigation.
