In November 2024, Pennsylvania's gaming industry set a historic performance, with total revenue reaching $562.4 million, a 26.06% increase year-over-year.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) attributed this growth to the strong performance of iGaming and sports betting, setting a new monthly record for the state.

iGaming revenue grew by 26.88% to $200.5 million, thanks to strong contributions from online slots, table games, and poker.

Online slots alone generated $148.7 million in revenue, up 36% from the previous year.

Sports betting revenue also showed an upward trend, soaring 498% to $77.1 million. Although the total sports betting revenue only grew by 0.15% to $935.5 million, improved profit margins brought significant revenue growth for operators.

In retail gaming, slot machine revenue grew 6.21% to $201.5 million, continuing to be the largest contributor to total gaming revenue. However, retail table games revenue declined by 2.45% to $77.6 million.

While several operators reported significant revenue growth, Valley Forge Casino Resort led with a 69.17% increase, bringing its monthly total revenue to $102.5 million.

Hollywood Casino at the Meadows also achieved significant growth, with an increase of 76.75%. Other notable casinos include Hollywood Casino Morgantown, with an increase of 84.9%, and Golden Nugget, whose revenue more than doubled, increasing by 123%.

However, not all segments saw growth. Video Gaming Terminals (VGT) revenue fell by 4.39%, and fantasy contest revenue decreased by 4.18%.

The PGCB also reported enforcement actions for the month, imposing fines of $70,000 for regulatory violations involving video gaming terminals. Additionally, 17 individuals were added to the state's exclusion list for leaving minors unattended in vehicles while participating in gambling activities.

Pennsylvania's performance in October was strong, with total gaming revenue growing by 2.81%, including a 22.1% increase in iGaming revenue.
