This low-key overseas manufacturer, relying solely on three games, earns over 1.7 billion a year, with social platforms playing an indispensable role.

Zeroo Gravity, a company focused on mobile gaming overseas since its inception, entered a rapid development phase in 2020 and joined the billion-yuan revenue club, expanding its workforce to over 400 people with studios in Beijing, Chengdu, and Dalian.

This success is largely attributed to its three flagship products—Cash Tornado Slots, Jackpot Master Slots, and Jackpot Friends Slots. To date, their cumulative revenue has exceeded 5.3 billion yuan, with 1.762 billion yuan generated in 2023 alone.

Cash Tornado is the company's primary source of income. Launched in May 2019, it incorporates various slots gameplay available on the market. It had a modest performance initially but began to show its potential in the following year. Since 2021, the game has consistently been in the top 100 of the U.S. iOS best-selling games chart and ranks high in markets like Australia, Canada, and the UK. Now, after more than six years of operation, its monthly revenue still hovers around 10 million USD.

In that year, the outstanding performance of this product also caught the attention of the global digital marketing company Applovin. The two companies entered into a deep strategic partnership in May 2021, aiming for comprehensive cooperation in areas such as creative incubation, product development, and global distribution.

However, according to Applovin's financial reports from 2021 to 2023, Zeroo Gravity has been listed under "Applovin's subsidiaries," suggesting it might have been acquired.

The other two games, Jackpot Master and Jackpot Friends, were launched in 2021, both less than three years ago. The former has consistently ranked in the top 10 of the U.S. iOS free casino games chart and generally within the top 30 of the best-selling chart, currently in a "steady rise" state with monthly revenues around 8 million USD. The latter, focusing on light social interaction, has seen significant growth in downloads and revenue since last year, now generating about 5.3 million USD per month.

Their sustained revenue contribution is not only due to richer and more layered gameplay but also significantly aided by social media platforms.

According to SensorTower, about 70% of Zeroo Gravity's core product revenue comes from the U.S. market, the largest for slots games. Given the increasing trend of socialization in such games, promotional and operational efforts in the U.S. focus heavily on social platforms.

It is evident that Zeroo Gravity's marketing efforts are primarily concentrated on Facebook (followed by Instagram). Reports indicate that targeting Facebook users interested in 'slots' can reach a core audience of 10 to 15 million, with about 6 to 7 million core players over the age of 45, who have a higher spending capacity.

Zeroo Gravity's approach to acquiring users on Facebook is similar to other slots manufacturers, often featuring high prizes with flashy effects, and sometimes using real chips/gold coins or live appearances to create a stronger sense of immersion.

The company also places great importance on community management on Facebook. For products at different life stages, the operational strategies are adjusted accordingly.

For example, Cash Tornado created its Facebook account in 2019, now with 340,000 followers. A official group created in September 2020 (where players can receive game gifts, add friends, and get information on game events/promotions) now has 229,000 members, with about 2,500 posts per month, and continues to gain nearly a thousand new members each week.

Looking at the second revenue pillar, Jackpot Master, its Facebook account also has 260,000 followers. The largest group was created in October 2021, with about 118,000 members, nearly 2,000 posts per month, and six to seven hundred new members joining weekly.

Jackpot Friends is a relatively new product, starting its Facebook operation in 2023, with about 43,000 followers still in the accumulation phase. The official often sets puzzles with gift prizes, such as "spot the odd one out in the picture," "guess which boat will arrive first from the video," "uncover the hidden password in the picture," etc., to encourage player interaction.

This account's followers are noticeably more active. The official group is also doing well, created at the end of 2022, though it only has 56,000 people, the metrics are still quite good, with over 3,000 posts per month, and even more than 1,400 new members joining each week.

Looking at the revenue curve of Jackpot Friends, there has been a significant rise since 2023, suggesting that the official operation on Facebook has likely provided substantial support.

Game News also observed that Zeroo Gravity started game live streaming on Facebook last year, possibly beginning with Cash Tornado. This is a well-established product, with a higher frequency of live streaming, about once or twice a week, each session usually lasting over an hour, and featuring an enticing $6,000 prize to attract viewers.

Perhaps due to some success in live streaming, Jackpot Master also started live streaming this year, maintaining a weekly rhythm, and the titles also feature the lure of a "$2,000 grand prize." Jackpot Friends has not started live streaming yet, but it is expected to join once the fan base stabilizes.

In addition, Zeroo Gravity has gradually created game accounts on other platforms (X, TikTok, and YouTube) since the second half of last year, and the YouTube account also started live streaming two months ago, which might bring some growth in the future.
