From the Secner union, it was confirmed that 25 layoffs have already been made and that the count will continue to rise until reaching 90 layoffs.
Argentina.- From the Union of Casino Employees of the Provinces of Neuquén and Río Negro (Secner) they warned about 90 layoffs that the employees in Neuquén and Centenario will suffer. They indicated that the current number is 25, but it will increase to reach 90 laid-off employees.
The Secner delegate, Andrés Martínez, stated that "25 people from Casino Magic have already been dismissed last week and this week, and it was found out that it will go up to 90."
He also mentioned that the majority corresponds to the last employees who entered the Centenario room, which opened its doors last August. "Supposedly they are going to close the Centenario room. According to the company, it does not work," Martínez said.
Among those dismissed, he mentioned employees from the machine sector, security, waiters, among others. He said some had a trial contract and others were permanent staff.
Martínez criticized that the new workers who joined were forced by the company to join the Union of Gambling Workers (Aleara), taking away their ability to choose which union they wanted to represent them.
The company did not make any statement about the union's complaint.
