The agreement seeks to advance in the fight against illegal gambling and prevent the associated risks.
Argentina.- The City Lottery (LOTBA) signed an agreement with the Secretary of Sports of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires to collaboratively advance in the fight against illegal online betting games and prevent the risks associated with them, with a special focus on minors.
The signing was attended by the president of LOTBA, Jesús Acevedo, and the Secretary of Sports of the City, Fabián Turnes. Through this agreement, both institutions committed to developing various actions to raise awareness and train young people who engage in sports about the issues and risks arising from the misuse of new technologies, participation in betting games on unauthorized sites, and integrity in sports practice.
«Promoting the development of a healthy and responsible relationship of people with gaming and entertainment is fundamental at all ages, but in the case of the youngest, it is a key tool to teach values such as effort, camaraderie, and teamwork towards a common goal,» explained from LOTBA.
They added later: «This agreement reflects the commitment we assume to raise awareness about child gambling addiction, a problem that is growing rapidly worldwide».
With the goal of continuing to improve the work of promoting responsible gaming, the LOTBA team participated, at the beginning of the month, in a training organized together with the NGO Faro Digital, which promotes responsible use of technology.
Through the meeting, LOTBA sought to reinforce the commitment to have teams that prepare and train on responsible gaming, awareness of child gambling addiction, and prevention of minors' access to illegal online betting games.

From LOTBA, it was indicated that during the meeting they analyzed «how privacy processes work in the digital world, especially on social networks, to be able to bring to the territory -from the various awareness actions we carry out weekly- the different mechanisms of care and protection of minors' identity».
