The UAE lottery operator The Game LLC collaborates with the artificial intelligence mental health platform Takalam to provide resources for players concerned with gambling-related behaviors.
The program aims to support responsible gaming through education, counseling, and behavioral management tools.
The collaboration includes a dedicated online portal offering articles, videos, and unlimited free counseling sessions to address mental health issues related to gaming.
According to reports, Takalam's services are designed to help participants make informed decisions and confidentially handle any behavioral issues.
James Boyles, the Director of Responsible Gaming at The Game LLC, stated: "We are honored to collaborate with Takalam to further fulfill our commitment to player welfare and responsible gaming. This partnership highlights our dedication to providing mental health resources for players and creating a safe, beneficial lottery environment for everyone."
Khawla Hammad, CEO of Takalam, added: "At Takalam, we are pleased to respond to the UAE lottery's call to support its mission to promote the welfare of the lottery industry. This initiative emphasizes the importance of recognizing when gambling begins to negatively impact mental health and providing support to help individuals regain balance."
It is worth noting that the program is based on existing safeguards implemented by the UAE lottery, including self-exclusion programs, age restrictions, promotional campaigns, and geofencing technology.
These measures aim to prevent harmful gambling behaviors and ensure compliance with the regulations set by the Universal Commercial Gambling Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).
The UAE lottery was launched in November 2024 as the country's first regulated lottery project. The first draw's grand prize was 100 million Dirhams (27.2 million USD), with additional cash prizes.
This collaboration continues the early development of the UAE's gambling industry. In July 2024, the UAE issued the first gambling licenses to Wynn Resorts and Aristocrat operators.
