The Louisiana Gaming Control Board recently reported revenue of $205 million from all forms of gaming in November, a year-over-year increase of 11 percent.
Gaming revenue from sports betting rose significantly, with the $53.9 million accrued a 92 percent increase year-over-year, with a handle of $381 million, up 18 percent from November 2023.
While New Orleans properties generated $51.5 million to rank second among Louisiana districts, its 29.4 percent year-over-year increase outpaced all districts. Harrah’s New Orleans reported revenue of $28.7 million, an increase of 28.5 percent. Treasure Chest Casino, with $12.2 million in revenue, saw an increase of 88 percent while Boomtown Casino & Hotel, with $10.3 million, was up 5.2 percent.
Properties in the Lake Charles district led with gaming revenue of $74.6 million, an 8.9 percent increase year-over-year. Golden Nugget Lake Charles brought in $28.3 million in revenue, an increase of 10.9 percent compared to November 2023. L’Auberge Casino Resort posted revenue of $25.8 million, a year-over-year uptick of 9.4 percent, and Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel generated $13.8 million, an increase of 16.9 percent.
Shreveport/Bossier City properties generated revenue of $46.3 million, a decrease of 2.5 percent compared to November 2023. Margaritaville Resort Casino posted revenue of $17.5 million, a year-over-year increase of 3.1 percent. Bally’s Shreveport Casino & Hotel posted revenue of $9.6 million, a year-over-year increase of 2.5 percent, and Horseshoe Bossier City generated $9.5 million, a decrease of 16.8 percent compared to November 2023.
The Baton Rouge district reported a year-over-year increase of 9.5 percent, with revenue of $22.5 million. L’Auberge Casino Hotel led the district with $14.4 million, an increase of 6.8 percent year-over-year. The Queen of Baton Rouge generated $7.6 million, an increase of 18.4 percent compared to November 2023, and the Belle of Baton Rouge reported revenue of $600,000, a decrease of 20.4 percent.
Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino in St. Landry Parish generated revenue of $8.5 million, a year-over-year increase of 8.3 percent.
