North Star Network has acquired the Nigerian football blog Soccernet, which covers popular news and scores.
This supports North Star's initiative to expand into the Nigerian and overall African media landscape.

Following the acquisition, Soccernet co-founder Lolade Adewuyi will remain with the company as a columnist.

In other African news, Altenar has received a national manufacturer license to operate in South Africa from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board.
