1. Pre-entry Preparation
1.Visa on Arrival Materials: If opting for a visa on arrival, you must hold a Chinese passport valid for more than 6 months. The cost of a visa on arrival in Vientiane is 20 USD per person, and in Luang Prabang, it is 21 USD per person. Also, prepare a black pen for filling out the entry card and application form, a two-inch photo (for the visa on arrival application form, if carrying glue stick, you can attach it yourself), and hotel reservation information (needed when filling out the entry card, you can find a hotel address online in advance). Note, domestic high-speed trains to Laos do not accept visas on arrival; only after disembarking at Mohan Port and taking a bus to Boten Port can one handle it, high-speed trains only accept sticker visas.
2.Sticker Visa Processing: Handled by the Lao Embassy in Beijing, Kunming, Xishuangbanna, and other locations.
2. Airplane Entry Process
1. Collecting Cards: On the plane, the crew will distribute entry and exit cards. If not received, you can ask the staff in the entry hall.
2. Filling out Cards: The style of the entry and exit cards is fixed, and the method of filling them out can refer to the example. It is recommended to uniformly fill in "worker" in the occupation column. After filling out, please keep it safe and carry it with you for use after disembarking.
3. Filling out the Application Form:
After disembarking, head towards the direction of baggage claim, reaching the entry hall. Facing the customs position, the visa on arrival window is to the left front.
Staff usually provide a visa on arrival application form. If not provided, you can go directly to the window to collect it.
Fill out the application form completely as required.
4. Submitting Materials and Payment:
Submitting materials: At the first window, submit the following materials: entry card, passport, visa on arrival application form, two-inch photo.
Paying the fee: Then proceed to the second window to pay the visa fee. The visa fee is 20 USD in Vientiane, 21 USD in Luang Prabang. It is recommended to prepare change in advance.
After completing the payment, receive the passport with the visa already affixed.
5. Entry Inspection:
Prepare entry materials, after completing visa processing, queue for entry inspection. You must carry your passport and entry card with you.
