I successfully brought my Filipino wife to Bangkok, Thailand, and here's a tip for everyone.
Actually, we were both nervous a month before departure.
Because I had read many reports saying it's difficult to take a Filipino out of the country, but later I found out that if you are married and traveling to a third country, you generally won't be stopped (it's stricter if you go to China).
But remember to go through customs together, don't let your wife go alone (if you're not married and she's your girlfriend, it's basically impossible to take her out). Also, you don't need to worry about customs in Thailand, just hand over the passport, fingerprint, and you're through in a second!
Don't believe those shady intermediaries, they just create panic on purpose.
We shopped at a Thai 7-Eleven, and it's really impressive, quality only second to Japan, and not worse than Taiwan's 7-Eleven. There are so many delicious items, we ended up spending 600 Thai Baht, Red Bull is only 10 Baht a bottle, so cheap.
Also, Thailand's Yakult, dumplings, crab sticks, pressed toast, and more. I feel like I could eat at Thailand's 7-Eleven for 3 months without getting tired of it.
