The Office of the Solicitor General announced that it will cancel all birth certificates of foreigners working for Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) and confiscate their assets.

Solicitor General Menardo Guevarra stated that their crackdown on POGOs will not end after the foreign workers leave by the deadline set by President Ferdinand Marcos on December 31, 2024.

"The OSG's extensive tasks following POGO will include cancelling all fraudulently obtained birth certificates of foreigners/aliens and confiscating their illegally acquired real estate and other assets in the Philippines," said Guevarra.

When asked about the estimated amount of assets to be confiscated, Guevarra said that there is no definite figure yet. "The priority is to take possession and control of them," Guevarra stated.

Guevarra mentioned that the OSG will soon announce the estimated amount of assets fraudulently obtained by foreign POGO workers.
