Online gaming revenue in Portugal continued to climb in Q3, hitting a new record of €266.3m.
The latest figure reported by the gambling regulator, the SRIJ, was up 1.7 per cent - €4.5m – from Q2 and a 23.7 per cent jump on Q3 2023’s revenue of €215.3m.
The SRIJ said 65.7 per cent of Q3 revenue, amounting to €175.1m, came from games of chance, rising from €133.4m in Q3 2023.
The remaining €91.2m of Q3 revenue came from fixed-odds sports betting, with this figure up from the €81.9m reported in Q3 last year but down from the €103.3m reported in Q2 this year.
Total wagers in Portugal in Q3 were €483.4m, up 23.8 per cent - €92.9m – from Q3 2023.
This figure also rose 4.6 per cent from Q2 this year.
As for games of chance, total stakes in Q3 were €4.87bn, up 33.7 per cent year-on-year.
