A severe robbery occurred in Pilar, Capiz Province. Six armed suspects, disguised as police officers, stopped a vehicle and robbed three employees of a well-known local beverage company, taking away 3.1 million pesos in cash and bank checks totaling 1.5 million pesos.

The Chief of Capiz Provincial Police Office (CPPO), Colonel Albert Tapulao, stated that the police have arrested two suspects involved in the case, while the remaining four suspects, including a former police officer, are still at large.

According to the police investigation, the suspects intercepted the victim's vehicle in Santa Fe village, posing as police officers and threatening the victims with guns before forcibly taking a large amount of cash and checks.

The police revealed that this case is related to Iloilo Province, as one of the fleeing suspects is a resident of Iloilo, and the vehicle used in the crime was found in the town of Dingle in the same province.

Colonel Tapulao stated that the local police are closely cooperating with the Iloilo Provincial Police Office to vigorously pursue the fugitives and urged the public to remain vigilant and report similar incidents immediately to prevent becoming the next target.
