"We are now forced to seek help online and want to contact the family of actor Xingxing to jointly seek actions to rescue our loved ones," said the poster @Gudemuning, claiming that his cousin Yang Zeqi saw a filming notice in a WeChat group on December 8 last year and added the WeChat from the notice to sign up, passing the video audition.
Yang Zeqi also recommended other friends to audition and join the crew, but they did not sign up due to schedule conflicts. Afterwards, he prepared his passport for the trip to Thailand.
After passing the audition, Yang Zeqi also felt it was dangerous to go to Thailand alone and repeatedly confirmed with the "staff." The other party gradually dispelled his concerns by presenting information about the relevant film and television company.

At 1:56 AM on December 20th, Yang Zeqi took flight VZ3719 from Beijing Daxing Airport and arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok at 6:16 local time. After landing, he left the airport in a vehicle arranged by the crew. At 14:59 Beijing time, he switched to a second vehicle arranged by the crew, and Yang Zeqi took a screenshot of the map software, showing his location was already at the Thai-Myanmar border.
On December 21st, Yang Zeqi sent a distress message to his friends. He then went missing, and his phone was turned off.
On December 29th, he made a video call to his mother to report his safety. In the video, Yang Zeqi was wearing black clothes, sitting on a stool with his hands on the table, but there were obvious bruises at the corners of his eyes, and he was clearly not in a normal state. After that, the phone was turned off again and he went missing.
After receiving Yang Zeqi's distress message, his friends immediately contacted his parents and went to the police station to report the incident. During these days, they have also been in contact with the Chinese embassies in Thailand and Myanmar.
