Maryland’s six casinos generated $164.1 million in revenue from slot machines and table games in December 2024, a slight decrease of 0.9% compared to December 2023. Contributions to the state from casino gaming totaled $69.8 million, down 0.5% from the previous year.
The December contributions included $50.4 million directed to the state’s Education Trust Fund (ETF), a key resource for Maryland public schools. Although this marked a decline of 0.5% compared to December 2023, year-to-date trends highlight steady growth. During the first half of Fiscal Year 2025, spanning July through December 2024, total casino gaming revenue increased by 1.2% year-over-year. Contributions to the state rose 2.5%, while the ETF saw a 2.6% increase.
