Lucky Sports managed to obtain on Monday (13), an injunction that authorizes its definitive operation in Brazil. The company had been blocked in the regulation process by the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA), but now it will be able to operate throughout the country and display its brand on clubs like Corinthians, Bahia, Grêmio, Ceará, and Náutico. "Lucky Sports has already made the payment of the grant and its website is in transition to the new domain www.esportesdasorte.bet.br.
Last week, the minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) André Mendonça temporarily suspended the operation of betting companies licensed by Loterj. The decision left Lucky Sports off the list of bets authorized to operate in Brazil. With the achievement of the injunction, the Lucky Sports Group released an official statement highlighting that the judicial decision confirms its compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Official statement from Lucky Sports
"The Lucky Sports Group informs that it is authorized to operate nationally by license 030/2024 from SPA/MF. The decision corroborates that the company, from the beginning, complied with all the legal and normative rites established by the legislation and its respective ordinances.
The group also emphasizes that the reason for the administrative denial was considered illegal by the federal justice and that, in fact, it has already made the payment of the grant and its site will soon be in transition to the new domain www.esportesdasorte.bet.br, according to the normative instruction of SPA/MF no.11 for the use of the registry.
In view of this, the Lucky Sports Group reaffirms its commitment to the regulation of the sector and to responsible gaming, aiming to protect the interests of civil society, generating jobs, income, and in favor of the economic, social, and cultural development of the country
