An Indiana State Senator who represents Huntington, Grant, and Wabash counties has filed a bill that would move a casino from southern Indiana to New Haven in Allen County.

Sen. Andy Zay, introduced Senate Bill 293 last week. Plans to move the Rising Star Casino, operated by Full House Resorts, surfaced back in August of last year. In November, Full House Resorts released conceptual drawings for the proposed casino which would be located on land next to the I-469 and U.S. 30 interchange west of Doyle Road.

The Indiana General Assembly would need to approve the casino’s move. Zay is in favor of the move and that’s why he filed the bill.
