Michael Bauer, CFO/CGO of Greentube, reveals how the company is preparing for ICE Barcelona 2025, what products they will present there, and what ambitious plans they have for expanding into the global market.

Exclusive interview.- Greentube is gearing up for its debut at ICE Barcelona 2025, one of the biggest events in the gaming industry that serves as a starting point to discover the most important trends of the year.

To learn more about Greentube's plans for ICE, Focus Gaming News spoke with Michael Bauer, CFO/CGO of Greentube, who revealed the company's expectations for the event, what products they will showcase, and what plans the company has to continue its expansion into different markets.

How is Greentube preparing for ICE 2025? What are the company's expectations for meeting with the gaming industry in Barcelona?

The preparations for ICE are in their final stages. We have worked hard for many months to ensure the success of our stand in Barcelona. It is the first time that Greentube has its own independent presence at ICE, so of course, it has been much more challenging, but we can build on our experiences from previous fairs such as IGB or SBC Lisbon. Our expectations for the fair are quite high: we expect a lot of interest, as it is the first year it is held in Barcelona and many clients and suppliers want to come and meet us.

What products do you plan to present at the fair?

Firstly, we will showcase our portfolio of new games that we will launch in 2025. The main goal is to meet with current clients to align strategies for the coming year and to make contact with new prospects. Additionally, we will present at the stand our range of server-based gaming machines, Plurius. This product is the perfect combination of the online and physical worlds.

Greentube continues its expansion in the United States with its recent opening in Connecticut. What plans does the company have in the region for 2025?

Our goal was to be operational with the two main operators in Connecticut before ICE. I am pleased to announce that we have met our goals in that regard and we are now live with DraftKings and Fanduel in the state. At the same time, we are working on preparations for launching in Pennsylvania. It has been quite a journey, but we are confident we can soon celebrate our entry into the market there. Last but not least, we have initiated the licensing process in Delaware to supply to that state's lottery.

Greentube has debuted in Finland through its partner Veikkaus, expanding its presence in the market. What new regions are targets for the company's expansion?

Our goal remains to expand in America, from Canada to Latin America. Although we have already entered many markets, such as Brazil for example, we need to expand our presence there and incorporate many more clients. Otherwise, we look forward to our launch in South Africa, currently delayed by a strike.

In 2024, Greentube expanded its partnership with the Loterie Nationale Luxembourg, launching VLT online games and sports betting. What reception did the new online entertainment options receive? Do you have other plans for 2025 in Luxembourg?

We are delighted with our partnership with the Loterie Nationale. On one hand, we aim to expand the number of VLT machines and sports betting terminals in the market. It is an ongoing exercise and depends on the availability of suitable locations. On the other hand, we have started to offer sports betting and online casino, which we will continuously expand in terms of features and games.

What new challenges does the company face for 2025?

Honestly, in the fast-paced world of online gaming, one does not know at the beginning of the year what challenges may arise in the next 12 months. Some issues we already know; in the B2C vertical, for example, are the betting limits in the UK that will come into effect, while in Italy, new online licenses are imminent. In Spain, we have just moved our operating company to Ceuta. So we can say we have been very busy.
