The casino operator has four establishments located in Talcahuano, Chillán, Osorno, and Calama.
Chile.- The Chilean casino operating company, Marina del Sol, shared the contributions made in 2024 by its four gaming establishments located in Talcahuano, Chillán, Osorno, and Calama.
According to the company, MDS Casinos paid taxes totaling CLP35.500.000.000 (USD32.1m). This amount includes figures from the four casinos in the chain, contributed between January and December of the previous year. The total sum is distributed among Municipalities, Regional Governments, and the Central Government.
Among the taxes paid, there is the Specific Gaming Tax, which stipulates that casinos under Law 19.995 must pay 20 percent of their total gross monthly revenues, an amount that will be distributed as 10 percent to the Municipality of the commune where the casino is located, to which will also be added for this Institution, the economic offer made by each casino and the other 10 percent for the Regional Government corresponding to the region where it operates.
The law determines that these contributions to both institutions must be invested in the "financing of development works that improve the quality of life of its inhabitants".

In 2024, Casino MDS Osorno paid for the concept of Gaming Tax and economic offer, the sum of CLP1.190m (USD1.1m) to the Municipality of Osorno and CLP950m to the Regional Government of Los Lagos. Additionally, this casino contributed CLP3.190m (USD3.1m) to the Central Government, amounts related to casino entry taxes and VAT.
For its part, Casino MDS Talcahuano paid for the concept of Gaming Tax and economic offer, the sum of CLP4.200m (USD4.1m) to the Municipality of Talcahuano and CLP3.800m (USD3.7m) to the Regional Government of Biobío. Additionally, this casino contributed CLP12.700m (USD11.8m) to the Central Government.
Between January and December, the Casino MDS de Chillán made a tax contribution of CLP1.840m (USD1.8m), distributed between the Municipality of Chillán and the Regional Government of Ñuble. The amount includes CLP920m (USD910.549) for the Municipality of Chillán, which will be used to finance development works and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants. The same is allocated to the Regional Government of Ñuble, ensuring a significant flow of resources for projects and infrastructure in the region. Additionally, the Chillán casino contributed CLP2.500m (USD2.5m) to the Central Government.
Finally, the Casino MDS Calama delivered in 2024 a contribution of CLP1.260m (USD1.2m) to the Municipality of Calama and CLP1.000m (USD989.727) to the Regional Government of Antofagasta, fulfilling the obligations of the Specific Gaming Tax established in Law 19.995.
