The regulatory body of the Mendoza gaming industry strives to maintain itself as a "quality institution".
Argentina.- Last January 9th, the 29th anniversary of the Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos (IPJyC Mendoza) was celebrated, which was established in 1996 with the enactment of the Provincial Law 6362 as a decentralized and autonomous entity within the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
As part of the celebration for the 29 years, the official entity headed by Ida López, thanked those who support every day "working for a quality institution".
The enactment of Provincial Law No. 6362 allowed in 1996, the official creation of the Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos, whose purpose is, among others, the administration, exploitation, and supervision of the Lottery of Mendoza and all the official games, both domestic and foreign, that are currently marketed in the Province of Mendoza.
As explained by the entity, the Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos also exercises its authority and supervision over all the bank games performed in any type of devices, machines, and/or tools that currently operate in all the Casinos of the Province and under all authorization regimes (Casinos of the IPJyC, Casinos of the IPJyC leased to Private Operators, Private Casinos authorized by Law 5755, other authorizations). Likewise, the Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos will exercise its authority and supervision over all games to be created in the future.

“The mission of the Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos of the Province of Mendoza, is, as appropriate, to regulate, administer, exploit, and exercise control of gambling in order to present to the citizens an orderly and transparent recreational offer that guarantees the protection of its interest groups, to contribute to the development of society as a whole, generating benefits aimed at the promotion and social assistance from the consolidation of a public management model of gambling that integrates, safeguards, and promotes practices of ethical behavior and corporate social responsibility”, the entity assures.
Regarding the vision, they explain that it consists of consolidating the department, as the model organization in public management of Gambling, respecting and promoting healthy entertainment, the values of social responsibility, transparency, and continuous innovation within the global framework of the development of our activity, optimizing the resources generated and the contribution to the common good of society, transferring the majority of the benefits obtained to various social areas of the Province of Mendoza.
In December, the Institute of Games and Casinos of Mendoza (IPJyC Mendoza) achieved the recertification of the ISO 9001 Quality Standard. It was granted after a rigorous external audit that evaluated the internal processes and management of the institute, thus demonstrating its dedication to "providing exceptional service and maintaining high standards of quality".
In this regard, the senior management of the IPJyC expressed their satisfaction in achieving this goal, highlighting that the recertification of the ISO 9001 standard “reaffirms the commitment to excellence and transparency in the operations of the agency, ensuring that all its services meet the demanding quality standards of the requirements demanded by this standard”.
