Recently, Chinese actor Wang Xing, who was rescued after being tricked into a scam park in Myanmar, has become a hot topic of public opinion. His personal safety and the inside information about the telecommunication fraud activities have attracted widespread public attention.

According to CCTV News, Wang Xing's flight back to China arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 0:55 on January 11, Beijing time. The Weibo account named "Actor Wang Xing" then posted at 3:56, stating, "I am Wang Xing, a citizen of China. At this moment, I have returned to the embrace of the motherland."

Wang Xing also thanked all the friends and his girlfriend who offered help, as well as the "Chinese embassies in Thailand and Myanmar, the Sino-Thai police and other law enforcement departments."

Previously, it was reported that Wang Xing went missing on January 3 at the Thai-Myanmar border. His girlfriend Jia Jia posted on social media to look for him, which triggered public attention.

On January 7, Thai police revealed that they had found Wang Xing. Wang Xing claimed that he was deceived into Myanmar for scam training while intending to transit through Thailand to a third country for filming work. Preliminary investigations by Thai police considered Wang Xing a victim of human trafficking.

The outside world has noticed that due to recent incidents of Chinese people going to the Thai-Myanmar border for jobs and then disappearing, Wang Xing's experience might just be the tip of the iceberg.

On the day of Wang Xing's return to China, a well-known user on the international social media platform X, "Teacher Li is not your teacher," disclosed that a document collecting information on Chinese human trafficking victims, "Project Homecoming for Stars," was no longer accessible. This document had attracted public attention after the Wang Xing incident, with thousands of relatives of Chinese human trafficking victims registering for help.

So, why did such a document with a large amount of victim information face the fate of being "taken down"?

Some netizens discovered that by the early morning of January 11, the document had listed more than 1100 people trapped in the Myanmar scam parks. Most of them are young people from lower social backgrounds, mainly from rural areas in Guizhou, Guangxi, Hunan, and other places, with parents who are mostly farmers or workers.

"Teacher Li is not your teacher" also disclosed that not all trafficked victims were abducted in Thailand; about half of them last appeared at the border in Yunnan, China.

Some relatives wrote in their help registrations: They have reported to the police, but the police did not file a case.

This Sunday, the Singapore "Lianhe Zaobao" disclosed that after Hong Kong singer Eason Chan and Chinese artist Zhao Benshan had either canceled or postponed their performances in Bangkok, the director of the Thailand National Tourism Administration, Tapanee, promised on Weibo on Saturday to do her utmost to provide a quality tourism experience for Chinese tourists, and she shouted "China and Thailand are one family."

The report quoted scholars assessing that the official relations between China, Thailand, and Myanmar would not be affected by the human trafficking incidents, but facing the pressure from the emotional reactions of netizens, the Chinese government is estimated to "take relatively significant actions" next.

"Teacher Li is not your teacher" announced on the X platform on Saturday that his team had restarted the "Project Homecoming for Stars" on Google Docs. Relatives of the victims can now fill in information in the document, and also submit through email, X messages, Telegram, and other means.

As for the information collected in this form, any media, non-governmental organizations, etc., can freely use it to promote public opinion and increase the chances of rescue.
