The Cordish Companies, owners of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana in Bossier City, have named 12 artists whose work will be displayed at the venue.
In collaboration with the Shreveport and Bossier City Arts Councils, the artists submitted works in answer to an open call for artwork. A panel of judges, including representatives from Live! Casino, artists, and art professionals, evaluated numerous submissions.
“I cannot begin to express the amount of gratitude I have for being chosen as a finalist to display my own rendition of the Louisiana culture that is deeply embedded into the swamps and nightlife in our area,” artist Jenn Ryland said in a statement. “As a lifelong native of Northwest Louisiana, I am beyond honored to be a part of this local art recognition in our very own Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana.”
Artists from Bossier, Caddo, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, DeSoto, Red River, Sabine and Natchitoches parishes submitted original artwork. The winning pieces will be prominently displayed in the pre-function area of the site’s event center, a 25,000-square-foot venue for live entertainment, corporate events and community gatherings.

The creativity of these artists perfectly captures the essence of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana.”
Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2025.
“To have my artwork grace its walls allows me the opportunity to connect with an audience in a space that is both exciting and welcoming,” said Ebbesson. “I am deeply honored to contribute to an environment that celebrates the human experience, where guests can engage with not just their surroundings but with the creative expressions that make these moments truly memorable.”
